Ceremony notes

Ceremony at Coral Reef is a paced tasting, not a performance. We seat you at the long counter, warm the vessel, and explain rinse, first steep, and second steep before you sip. Questions are welcome; silence is also welcome.

Water is filtered and brought to the temperature printed on each card. We avoid vague poetry about energy and instead talk about bitterness, sweetness, and aftertaste. If a leaf needs a shorter steep, we say so.

Group ceremonies suit birthdays and quiet celebrations. We limit attendance so every guest can see the pour. Photography without flash is fine; please keep phones face-down during the first tasting round.

Private bookings outside public hours are available on selected evenings. Write with your preferred date and leaf interests; we reply with a simple outline and price.

We refine our offerings each season based on what regulars request and what our space can support without crowding. Quality of attention matters more than expanding endlessly. If something is paused, we say so on the page rather than leaving outdated promises online.
